Annual Old Student Meeting
10-Year Dhamma Pubbananda Anniversary
and Centennial of S.N. Goenka
October 20-22, 2023
Our Mid-Atlantic Vipassana Community will be joining together October 20-22, 2023 to honor the centennial birth year of our Dhamma Father, S.N. Goenka. This weekend will also be a celebration of Dhamma Pubbanada’s ten-year anniversary. A slide show of the life of S.N. Goenka and an opportunity for students to share memories of Goenka-ji and Dhamma in our region will be happening on Saturday, October 21. October 22 is a one-day course and October 20 is a service opportunity to prepare for the events on Saturday and Sunday. You are welcome to join all or part of this joyous time!

Dhamma Service Period
October 8-25, 2023
You are invited to roll up your sleeves and join for the upcoming Dhamma Service Period starting Sunday October 8 and ending October 25. Past projects have included all sorts of things to help maintain and beautify the Center. This is a great opportunity to be at the Center, sit three times a day and work closely with others to help get the Center ready for the next season.

Please note the Center’s current Covid policy:
- Everyone coming to the Center will need to bring two Rapid Antigen test kits. One taken on the day of arrival at the Center and one for testing on day 3 after the course begins.
- Masking is optional.
Server Needs for Upcoming Courses
at Dhamma Pubbananda
At the moment, Dhamma Pubananda is looking for Old Students to help serve on the following courses:
10 Day course starting August 23: Server needs are met for this course, though you can apply for the waitlist.
Sati course starting September 6: Need 3 Full Time Male Servers and 2-3 Full Time Female Servers
10 Day course starting September 20: Need 2 Full Time Male Servers
3 Day course starting October 4: Need 3 Full Time Male Servers and 1-2 Full Time Female Servers.
Children’s Course Registration Now Open
A Teen Course (ages 13-17) on September 16th (Saturday) at Dhamma Pubbananda and a Children’s course (ages 8-12) on September 17th (Sunday) at Ashburn, VA are scheduled. Spaces are available for boys and girls and we still need plenty of male and female servers for the course to be successful. If you have the volition to serve, we request you to apply at the earliest.
